Shipping Terms
FOB : Freight-On-Board / Free-On-Board
This is the cost of the vehicle excluding shipping and local port taxes or charges. If you buy the vehicle at FOB price it
includes the vehicle cost and all expenses in Japan (except container packing).
CIF: Cost, Insurance and Freight
This is the cost of the vehicle including shipping and insurance. If you buy the vehicle at CIF price it includes all the
expenses excluding local taxes and charges.
C & F : Cost & Freight
This is the cost of the vehicle including shipping without insurance. If you buy the vehicle at C & F price it includes
all the expenses excluding local taxes and charges.
Pro Forma Invoice
An invoice provided by a supplier to confirm the order, it includes all details of the vehicles / cost / consignee of the
vehicle, an offer to sell goods at a stated price and under stated terms. This is kind of guarantee of your goods, after
you receive this invoice from our sales staff you are sure of your order and that document is necessary to send the bank
transfer for the vehicle.
T / T : Telegraphic Transfer
This is the best way to electronically transfer your deposit and final payment to us. It is fast, safe and effective.
A T/T can be done at all major banks.
L / C : Letter of Credit
This is payment using your bank to secure payment with us. We accept L/C paid at sight. Please contact your bank
regarding this.
Ro / Ro : Roll On / Roll Off
There are two kinds of vessel loading system in that way, the first way is "Roll On/Roll Off." A method of ocean
cargo service using a vessel with ramps which allows wheeled vehicles to be loaded and discharged without cranes.
(In this way drivers can drive the vehicles inside the vessel). The second way is using cranes lifting the vehicles
inside the vessel.
Container Loading
This is very famous way of cargo exporting to all over the world. This way we have to order the container first before
shipping, the containers are different sizes (you can see container loading section for more details). In this way
their is two methods of shipping, one is CY / CY (Container yard to Container yard) if you purchase enough vehicles /
spare parts to load your own full container. Another way is CY / CFS in this way you do not order all vehicles to fill the
container, the shipping company will load the container combinedwith other customers vehicles exceeding to their loading
plans (you can see container loading section for more details). In this way the shipping company will provide separate
B / L for the each owner of the vehicles inside the container.
Shipper
The person or company who is usually the supplier or owner of commodities shipped. Also called Consignor.
A classification, storage or switching area.
Bill of Lading (B / L)
A document that establishes the terms of a contract between a shipper and a transportation company.
It serves as a document of title, a contract of carriage and a receipt for goods.(We will send this with all other original
shipping documents to you by courier)
Marine Insurance
This is insurance covering loss or damage of goods at sea. Marine insurance typically compensates the owner of
merchandise for losses sustained from fire, shipwreck, etc., but excludes losses that can be recovered from the
carrier.
Commercial Invoice
This is the documents transaction between exporter and importer with regard to the goods sold. Kind of bill issuing
from the supplier to owner with all details of relevant vehicle and the shipment. It is needed for the clearing
process in your port. (We will send this with all other original shipping documents to you by courier)
Original Japanese Cancellation of Registration Paper (MASHO)
This is one of main original documents of the shipment. This is needed to export the vehicle from the Japaneseport
and clearing process in your port. It included all necessary details about the vehicle (year, weight, eng & etc...).
We will provide this original document and the English translation for you with the original documents.
